How the ordering cut-off makes next-day delivery work
Order before 4pm, delivered the next run: how the 6-day delivery week works across the West Midlands, the North West and the South West, and what happens after you confirm.
The cut-off is the whole system
Next-day delivery is not a promise a van keeps — it is a promise a warehouse keeps, and the cut-off time is what makes it possible. Once the cut-off passes, picking starts for tomorrow's runs: what is ordered before 4pm is picked, loaded and routed that evening.
That is why 4pm is a hard line rather than a suggestion. An order placed after it is not "late" — it simply joins the next run, and the basket tells you which day that is before you confirm. Knowing the honest day beats guessing at a hopeful one.
Where and when we deliver
We run our own fleet 6 days a week across the West Midlands, the North West and the South West. Deliveries follow scheduled days per area, on our own vehicles — which is also why a case of glassware arrives in the condition it left the warehouse, and why empty kegs and returnable containers are collected on the same run that brings your delivery.
If your venue sits outside our areas, call us before applying. We would rather tell you now than take an order we cannot deliver.
What happens after you confirm
- Stock is reserved for your order straight away — availability you see at checkout is stock that is physically there.
- The order is picked against your confirmed lines after the cut-off.
- It is loaded onto the run for your area's scheduled day.
- You can follow it — from your account, the order shows its status as it moves, and after delivery you can track it with your reference and postcode even without signing in.
No minimum order
There is no minimum order value: a single case is a valid order, and it travels on the same run as a full pallet. That matters more than it sounds — a "top-up" order for a Saturday that has run hotter than planned is exactly what the delivery week is for.
When something is wrong at the door
Tell the driver before signing. What is signed for is what is invoiced — a shortage or a breakage recorded at the point of delivery is settled without a phone call, and anything found later can be reported from the order in your account so it reaches the warehouse with the order attached.
Order before 4pm, and tomorrow's van already knows your name.
